The Second Wave of the JRP project was launched last December, and it includes more than 45 countries, covering North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, The Middle East, and Oceania.
The main objective of this new wave is to compare the way in which different journalistic roles are present in the news content of television, radio, print and online media, understanding the influence that different media systems, as well as the characteristics and attitudes of journalists who generate the content, have on the performance of different journalistic functions across platforms worldwide. The project fieldwork will start in 2020.
