The Journalistic Role Performance (JRP) Project marked two inspiring milestones in July with the successful completion of training sessions in Bournemouth and Madrid.
At Bournemouth University, research teams from the United Kingdom, Kuwait, Jordan, Denmark, Egypt, and Zimbabwe came together for two days. Participants engaged in dynamic discussions, exchanged insights, and strengthened their commitment to the project’s global comparative approach to journalism.
Shortly after, a second training was held at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, at Rey Juan Carlos University. This session gathered teams from Spain, Greece, and Denmark, fostering engaging exchanges and reinforcing the collective effort to ensure consistency and rigor in the upcoming wave of data collection.
These sessions form part of the broader series of JRP in-person trainings organized in 2025, following earlier meetings in Denver and Mexico. Each gathering has provided valuable opportunities to align methodologies, strengthen collaboration, and ensure high-quality data collection for the project worldwide.
